International Hardcovers Shipping Too

Hello White Ashians,

Just wanted to drop you all a quick update.  As we said previously, we're in the process of shipping out all domestic Hardcovers.  If you pledged at a level that included one or added a White Ash Hardcover on in Backer Kit, those should arrive by the end of the month.  Some of you might even see them by the end of the week.  NOTE: Chapter Five and the rest of your rewards will arrive separately (in July as originally planned).

While this is a bit more expensive for us, we think our backers deserve the best.  And that includes ALL our backers, international ones too. We crunched the numbers on our end, and even though we're taking a little hit, we're making it happen.  So heads up all of you who don't live in America, we've  begun shipping out the international hardcovers as well.  Look for those to reach you by mid-June. 

As for the rest of White Ash, we're trucking along. Conor and Fin are working hard and Romina Moranelli just sent us the last of the layouts for the Glarien story and they look incredible.  Look for that PDF to shoot your way early next month.  

Before we go, I just wanted to leave you with a couple of don't miss projects that are just finishing up on Kickstarter.  The first is Necromancer from Vita Ayala and Pat Shand.

Charlie here, I love the tagline on this one "So, a high school necromancer and a girl destined to die go on a road trip..."  Pat Shand is one of my favorite creators on Kickstarter.  He constantly puts out amazing books. And now he's working with Vita Ayala who writes for small companies like Marvel and DC.   This is a spin-off of his Destiny NY series. Both, like White Ash, are urban Fantasy... well, I guess White Ash is more rural fantasy.  But if you like stories set in the real world with magical elements, you've got TWO DAYS to CHECK THIS OUT.

Also on Kickstarter right now, (for just THREE MORE DAYS) is Deadskins, another project from the twisted mind and long time friend of White Ash (the two may be related), Clay Adams. 

Billed as "Blazing Saddles" meets "The Walking Dead," Deadskins is a Zombie/comedy/mystery set in the wild west about a young man who wakes up... to find he's the only person waking up. Everyone around him is dead... except for the town drunk.  And now they're the only two standing (or staggering) against the apocalypse.  With art by Leila Del Duca (Sleepless, Shutter, Scarlet Witch), this book is well worth TAKING A LOOK at.

Orders Locking. Some Digital Rewards going out. Hardcovers Shipping Soon

Hello White Ashians,

Hope you're all healthy and safe.  Just wanted to give you a quick update.  Close to 1000 of you have now filled out your surveys (THANK YOU) leaving only a few stragglers behind. As we've reached a critical mass, we're going to lock orders very soon, and the early digital rewards (The White Ash 1/2 story, and the Vol 1 PDF for our catch-up backers) will be released later today.

Everything else still seems to be on track. While Conor is working hard at finishing up Chapter Five, we've been busy printing up all the rewards.  The stickers came in last night and look fabulous.  Buttons should be here tomorrow and Air Fresheners by the end of the week. Romina has also been sending us some incredible layouts for her Glarien story.  When we have a few more pages in, we'll share a peek or two.   This week, we'll also begin shipping the Hardcovers to all of our domestic backers.  If things go well, all of you should have yours by the end of the month.

Surveys rolling out tonight and tomorrow

Hi White Ashians,

BackerKit has approved our survey, so it should be hitting your inbox tonight or sometime tomorrow. If you pledged at a catch-up reward level, we'd love it if you could fill out your survey ASAP, so we can start shipping out your hardcovers.  If you'd like your name in the backer's section of the PDF, you'll need to have your survey in by May 15th.  After that, we can't promise that you'll be included. 

The rest of the rewards are still on track to ship out in June and July.  If your address changes between now and then, you can simply go back in and change later. (We will send a notification email when we lock addresses to begin shipping).

For those of you looking to take part in our WA STREET TEAM promotion, please send either a picture of your copy of Scout's White Ash, or a picture of your receipt to the Scout store to [email protected]. There will be a reminder in the Backerkit survey and a place to enter the email you used, to make sure we don't miss your response.

There will also be a bunch of OPTIONAL add-ons in the Backerkit shop (variant covers, swag, etc.), but for anyone who wants a White Ash T-Shirt, or mug, those can be picked up either at the Scout Store or at the White Ash Threadless site (where there are more styles of shirts, including some v-necks).   If you do buy anything from the Scout Store, don't forget to use the White Ash Discount Code ASH25 that will take 25% off your entire order.

Surveys coming soon and a way to support your LCS

Hello White Ashians,

We’re just putting the finishing touches on our surveys and then, once they’re approved by Backerkit, we’ll be sending them your way. (Probably on Monday). There you’ll be able give us your shipping address, name you’d like listed in the backer’s section of the PDF and add on some extra White Ash goodies if so inclined.

We encourage you to fill the surveys out quickly as we need item counts to know how much of each reward to order. Also, once we have address locked for our catch-up backers, we’ll begin shipping out all of the domestic White Ash hardcovers ahead of the rest of your rewards. This will give you something to read while you’re waiting for White Ash: Chapter Five. We’ll also begin PDF distribution as well.

There is one other thing we wanted to alert you to. Back in November, we sent an update to all the backers who’d taken part in our previous campaigns, to tell them about the new Scout Versions of White Ash and give them a way to become part of the “White Ash Street Team.” We said that anyone who picked up a copy of the Scout White Ash #1 and backed this campaign would get an exclusive 6x9 textured print of the cover of White Ash #1 AND this cool 2.5” button that Conor designed.

For those of you who participated in our promotion, we’ll have directions about how to get those rewards with our next update/ release of the survey. HOWEVER, we know a lot of you are new to White Ash this time around, so we wanted to extend the offer to you, tweaked slightly in a way that could also help your Local Comic Book Shop (if you have one) and our partners at Scout Comics.

Hi White Ashians,

Everything continues to move along smoothly and we plan to have the surveys out by the end of next week.  Today however, I want to point you to something that's happening on Twitter right now, the hastag #Creators4Comics. 

A whole bunch of incredibly talented writers and artists are putting their works up for auction to support the Book Industry Charitable Foundation, which will be providing funds to comic book shops to help them survive the pandemic.  If you want to take part in any of these, simply enter #Creators4Comics in the twitter search bar.  I've put up a set of White Ash variant covers for auction.  You can find those here --

We will be offering a few of these variants (very few) in our backerkit store.  But we will NOT be offering the variant cover of the 1st printing of White Ash: Chapter One.  I have less than 10 of those left and they will not be going on the market.  So if you want one of those, this is the place to get it.  And again, all proceeds go 100% to charity.  

So even if White Ash variant covers aren't your thing (as unfathomable as that might be), I urge you to check out the hashtag and help support our local shops.  The auction ends April 20 @ 12 PM EST.  So get your bids in.
